Men Farm for Me

** Update ** Holy shat!!! Weather forecasts 8-12 inches of snow in Mammoth tomorrow with only 9mph gusts. It's gonna be fresh powder heaven!! Can you tell I'm freakin' stoked!?!?! Oh, OCG is going and is snowboarding for the first time. I'm determined to get my flirt-on Snow Bunny style this weekend. I hope not to disappoint and have stuff to report on Tuesday.

*********************************************************************************

At 4:00am tomorrow, I'll be on the road to Mammoth for some snowboarding. Yippey!! With the excitement is some reservation, because I've been a lazy JigglyPuff who hasn't gone to the gym in months. So, I'm in fear of some major soreness payback due to the length of physical inactivity. :(

On the love life front (ha ha), I'll reveal that I've been dabbling in online dating. It rhymes with MenFarmForMe.com... I did the whole match.com thing awhile back, and quite frankly, the rapid quantity was too much for me. I'm. Slow. So with match.com I felt like a target for a malfunctioning one of these:

Anyhoo, the selection on MenFarmForMe hasn't been thrilling. You don't get to shop on your own. You have a personal shopper that gives you a very limited amount of options. Think of yourself in a dressing room and only allowed to try on what's handed to you. Supposedly, the personality test I took gives this shopper a clearer eye than I to choose a mate. I'm not so sure anymore (BTW, I met NG there), but I'll ride it out until my subscription ends.

I'm in open communication with Music Man right now. Seems very witty and funny, which is important. I'm quite the smart whip with sarcasm and definitely need someone that can keep up, and he does so far. So we'll see how Music Man pans out. Oh, I forgot to mention that I sold OCG on joining MenFarmForMe and she was matched up with Music Man first. She actually went out on a drink date with him, and felt no chemistry. "He's a nice guy. Smart for sure and not bad on the eyes, but not for me.", she said. Am I getting sloppy seconds? What do you think? Do I (and how) at some point let him know that he (to loosely use the term) dated my friend?

Oh, so yeah, I hear the no cyber snooping point that so many of you have shouted at me. I was thinking of motivating myself by putting a Days of NCS (No Cyber Snooping) counter on my blog. Except... I don't technologically know how to do it. Help?

First of all: Mammoth! How fun! We really are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area, huh?

Second: I've heard bad things about menfarmforme -- too much screening and no good results. I'd go back with match.

Third: Naah - no sloppy seconds. Those only count if there was sex involved.

I would not count that as sloppy seconds. First of all, it's free game if there was no sex (like SGB said above), AND maybe she lied and said she wasn't interested in him; while in reality it could have been the other way around. No spark? One date? Definitely free game, and your friend would never know what she was missing if you end up finding out he's a great catch!

No Cyber Snooping! It's unnecessary self-destruction!!!

LOL at "jiggly puff"-- that is my new favorite term.

ugh i am so glad my online dating days are behind me. what a nightmare. (but very very good for blogging!)

i hope you have better luck than i do.

i wouldn't worry about the sloppy seconds thing. not enough happened for it to matter. don't bother telling him--no point. that would only show him that you've been talking about him to your friends (not a good thing if you are trying to play hard to get).

if things take off, he'll meet her eventually and you can deal w/it then.

i say: "don't sex, don't tell"

hahaha

i'm trying to quit cybersnooping, too. it's hard.
